Thomaston Place Auction Galleries Presents 3 Specialty Auctions on December 1st, 2nd & 3rd

THOMASTON, ME:  Just in time for the Holiday season, Thomaston Place Auction Galleries will present three special themed auctions on December 1-3, starting at 10:00 a.m. each day.

On Wednesday, December 1, 595 lots of collectible toys and banks will be sold.  Among the diverse offerings will be: a rare 19th Century mechanical “Bismarck Bank” by J&E Stevens, depicting Otto von Bismarck popping out of a pig; 86 lots of antique bisque and china head dolls, doll houses and furnishings and doll trunks full of clothing and accessories; vintage and antique rocking horses; a collection of vintage comic books; early pull and riding toys; die-cast lead figures; large groups of stuffed animals, including Steiff; and vintage model trains and vehicles.

On Thursday, December 2, the emphasis will be on jewelry and designer fashion, and this sale will feature a large selection of gold and silver jewelry, designer handbags and luggage, fine furs, clothing, and fashion accessories.

And, on Friday, December 3, there will be a large inventory of vintage sports-related items, including: swords and firearms, carved decoys, fishing accessories, professional sports memorabilia, smoking items, taxidermy, and sporting art.

The gallery will be open for previews on Monday and Tuesday, November 29 & 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.  Previewing will also be available on auction days from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m..
