2020 Maine Lobster Festival Sea Goddess coronation
The 2020 Maine Lobster Festival may have been cancelled, but the Sea Goddess coronation went on, only a week later than originally scheduled. If you could not make it Saturday afternoon, check out the full coronation video above.
Thank you to our community for all it's support, what a great time we had. Congratulations to Chloe, your going to represent our festival and the lobster industry well. The sea Goddess coronation ceremony a "tradition" the festival shall in the words of it's President " fight to keep". Fight till the death, as was nearly displayed a few years ago when the "tradition" almost ended the reign of this long running festival. I have learned over the years living in "New England" , you beat the same drum until the cover finally breaks and never think perhaps it's time to replace the drum. Any attempt to update or modify in any way is viewed as an act of treason. Read todays story about the movement to defund the Rockland police and see how that is going.
